Evening Prayer
And now I lay me down to sleep,
The poison there will take me deep.
Trying to keep the mask in place,
Keeping hidden my saddened face,
Has led to such an awesome price
Of me requiring my own life.
I’ve tried my best to fight the pain,
But it seems my efforts have been in vain.
And now as I lay me down to sleep,
Knowing Satan my soul will keep,
I hope to escape the endless lies
Which have led to my demise.
